SCARLETT

I use recreational art in counseling to work things out through colors, images, writing and storytelling. Everyone has their own unique experiences which I intend to use to empower the client as well as being an ally and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. In our sessions we will explore the shadow self, fears, shame and guilt, past traumas with family, religious trauma, or relationships that shaped you. I create a safe space to be genuinely yourself and to help you be seen.
My approach to wholistic therapy is based in humanistic and person centered ideas. This looks like focusing on what makes you, in mind, body, and spirit and our connections with other people. Also, using practices of mindfulness and meditation and how to understand and reprogram negative thought cycles in the brain to gain more control of your life.
I’ll always stay curious as we journey through anxiety, depression, identity development, grief, life transitions, body issues, low self-esteem, and many more human experiences. Please feel free to reach out to us or come through our doors to start finding emotional healing.

SHAWNNETTA

Hi! My name is Shawnnetta (pronounced SHAWN-KNEE-TUH), and I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor. I am a Georgia transplant, originally from Jersey City, NJ. I attended the University of West Georgia where I completed both my bachelor's and master's degrees (The best go West!). I completed my practicum and internship at the University of West Georgia's Counseling Center.
I specialize in grief, maternal mental health, ADHD (particularly in women and girls), anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. With a balance of empathy and honesty, I create a supportive space where clients can process their struggles while also gaining the tools and confidence to move forward. Whether navigating loss, adjusting to motherhood, managing ADHD, or facing life’s uncertainties, I help clients find clarity, resilience, and empowerment on their journey to healing
I have always been someone others naturally confide in, offering a compassionate listening ear and a safe space for open conversations. Over time, I found myself frequently guiding individuals toward seeking professional support, though many hesitated to take that step. Recognizing the need for accessible, meaningful help, I chose to become a therapist—allowing me to provide not only a listening ear but also the professional guidance and support necessary for true healing and growth.
